ax web fetch

Optional web tools stay under user control.

ax web fetch

ax is an optional tool that retrieves web pages and extracts content. Supership does not require it during operation.

The managed installer no longer downloads it or changes ~/.local/bin. It does not install shared skills or modify other harnesses, applications that host coding agents.

Existing skills/ax and other legacy payload sources remain preserved until approved migration. Their presence does not authorize copies into user discovery paths, locations that OMP searches for resources. The new package does not require them as workflow tools.

Scouts, agents that collect evidence, can use available approved web tools for cited research. Pages that use JavaScript or require authentication need an appropriate browser session. For local source inspection, use local tools instead of a website.

Keep credentials out of prompts, command examples, artifacts, and exports. Artifacts retain work evidence. The offline automated suite must not fetch real websites or call external models.

Browser or web-tool availability does not alter Supership approval requirements. It does not change parent-access rules, which permit granted tools to affect the parent environment.

A linked canonical checkout, the primary repository copy, can expose unchanged root skills/ax and skills/grill through OMP resource discovery. The package file list does not restrict a live symlink, a pointer to another filesystem location.

These optional skills do not add command owners or persona bodies, reusable agent instructions. The installer does not copy them into shared user directories.
